Managing Projects on the Mac and the iPad

Over the past few weeks I’ve been able to give a few presentations about doing project management on the Mac and on the iPad. I had a few requests so I thought I would post them.

The first is the presentation I gave in the Philadelphia Walnut St. Apple Store on how to manage projects using a Mac: Managing Projects on a Mac.

The second is the one I gave at the PMI Lehigh Valley Professional Development Day on how to use the iPad as a Project Management tool: The iPad and Project Management

Whether you want to manage your projects and day-to-day work on a Mac, an iPad or an iPhone, now there are tools available that are robust enough to allow us to work in the system in which we feel most at home, and which allow us to be the most productive.

Please join us for a very special evening at the Walnut Street Apple Store (1607 Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19103) on April 6 at 7:00 PM for an opportunity to network with local Mac using thought leaders in Project Management. You’ll be treated to presentation showcasing a number of Mac based tools that have all been field tested and proven to enable successful project management.  Whether you’ve just picked up an iPad 2, or you’ve been using a Mac for years, you’ll pick up some great tips to raise your game as a PM and a get chance to win some great prizes. ProjectWizards sponsors Cirque du Mac 8

Once again this year ProjectWizards is proud to be a sponsor of Cirque du Mac at Macworld 2011!

Cirque Du Mac 8

Cirque du Mac is “the Greatest Party of the Year”. We’re going and we’d like to bring some Gantthead folks along. If you’ll be in San Francisco on the evening of Thursday, January 27 and would like to spend your night rocking out to the MacWorld All-Star Band while you watch the trapeze girl dangle from the ceiling, just send an email to party@projectwizards.net and tell us your Weapons of Choice as a Mac based Project Manager. We’ll randomly select 10 of you and provide you with a pass to attend the event as a guest of ProjectWizards. Take your chance for a beer with Dave Prior or Frank Blome!

iPhone wakes creative instincts

iPhone Film Festival is a very interesting website we have just found. Created and designed to give artists an avenue to show their talent and creativity, it contains currently more than 800 submissions. April 6th, 2011 is the iPhone Film Festival day. There are some rules of submission though; the entire film for example must be shot with an iPhone or iPod Touch, any software can be used for editing video and audio and external microphones, wide angle lens, lighting, or tripods are allowed.

My personal favorites so far are the ones I’ve embedded here: Continue reading
