Merlin: Accumulating expected working hours

I am doing project management with Merlin on Mac OS X. Is it possible to display the expected work accumulated by month or week for the resources of a project?
I mean something like the following:
Resource A: January 2010, 20 hours, February 2010, 30 hours, etc
Resource B: March 2010, 10 hours, April 2010, 5 hours, etc
Resource C: December 2010, 30 hours, January 2011, 15 hours, etc

Yes of course.
This is possible in Merlin’s utilization view. Here a small description of how to do so.
You remove if desired unnecessary  date rules:
remove rowYou check the unit of the remaining row and make sure it is ‘Months’:

MerlinSchnappschuss021

Set the date style as desired:

MerlinSchnappschuss022

Now access the Utilization view options (View > Show view options, or click on the gear symbol of the utilization view) and select ‘Expected working hours’ for the accumulation instead of the default ‘Utilization’:

accumulation expected working hours

Disable the display of the unassigned activities if desired:

unassigned activities

And check the result:

accumulate expected working hours

It contains the expected work of all resources accumulated by month.

Note:

– You can print the ‘report’ in a PDF file in case you want to forward this information to others.

– Should you need more control then that upon this information, you may use Billings. Merlin offers a link to it over the Send To menu.
