Tidbit #2: Colour

We have enhanced the meaning of colours in Merlin. Now, started tasks that are behind, will be marked in Red instead of Yellow. This will make it easy for the Project Manager to spot falling behind tasks. Tasks that are ahead of schedule or on time, will continue to be in Yellow.

We have also given the end user the ability to use shapes instead of flag colours. This allows colour blind users to easily distinguish the status of tasks.

  1. The concept of using coloured shapes instead of just coloured dots, is very noble, and intelligent. The devil is in the details;-) Good work! Just started using Merlin seriously, and in half an hour I was impressed with how far into managing all my projects I already was. Exceptional product. And rock stable.

  2. Excellent new colour features allow the content be managed with instant visual queues. Is there anyway to change the background of the charts?

  3. Hello:

Red means the task is not started on time or has started but its progress is lagging.

Yellow means the task is in progress and is either on schedule or ahead.

Green means the task is complete.

The Red line in the background of the image symbolizes now.
