Podcast Co-working at Coloft

This is a mirror post of Dave’s Prior entry at Project Shrink for Podcast #42.

In episode 42 of The Project Shrink podcast, Dave Prior is talking to Cameron Kashani from Coloft in Santa Monica about co-working.

According to Wikipedia: “Coworking is a style of work which involves a shared working environment, sometimes an office yet independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization. Typically it is attractive to work-at-home professionals, independent contractors, or people who travel frequently who end up working in relative isolation.”

I have a problem with an inactive links tab for the last two day’s and merlin support was very poor and are not responding to any of my email,s . when i spoke with their main office i was told customer support work from their homes as i cant get a response , I can only presume everybody has been sitting on their hand’s for the last two day,s . I will be demanding a refund or legal action will be taken.

  2. Hello Paul,

we recommend you check your email accounts for mails from our support@ account, also those from my private account (vicky@projectwizards.net) or Mike Calnan’s.
You should be able to find at least 6 email messages and replies to your question. If not, you should check your mail server if it erroneously marked them as SPAM or Junk and sorted them out. So we repeat here the things we need in order to understand your question and provide a solution:

-a screenshot of the linking icon which is inactive.
If you don’t know how to do screenshots, no issue, please see here how to take screenshots http://support.apple.com/en-en/HT201361
-a copy of your Merlin project (you sent us a pdf file, and of course neither you nor we can edit PDF files in Merlin)
-and the information which activity should be linked to which other activity and by which dependency.

    Best regards, Vicky

BTW. I find it pretty difficult writing those lines, while sitting on my hands 🙂

  3. Btw… there are various ways to link activities.
You usually select the rows [rows, not just one row] you want to link and use the linking buttons.
Or you use the dependencies inspector
Or you link them graphically as explained here:
    http://projectwizards.net/en/macpm/merlin/merlin-linking-activities-graphically

I would also recommend you check the Merlin online help as offered in the Help menu of Merlin, or over following link:
    http://www.projectwizards.net/merlin/webhelp/HTML-Help.en/index.html

You see there a topic called ‘Linking activities’

    Best regards, Vicky
