Merlin – Approving or clearing Budgets

If an activity on a Merlin project already has a value for “Requested Budget” and you change its budget status from “requested” to “approved”, the amount of requested budget will be pushed to the approved budget field.

Merlin calculates then automatically the following budget columns:

  • Approved Budget Absolute
  • Approved Budget Undistributed
  • Budget / Planned Cost Balance
  • Budget / Expected Cost Balance
  • Budget / Actual Cost Balance

To edit budget entries for “Approved Budget” and “Requested Budget” you may use the columns in the outline or the according fields in the “Finance” inspector.

The columns expect currency amounts. To clear a budget entry enter $0 or just 0
