We had a couple of mysterious reports informing us that Merlin freezes whenever Merlin users would edit the project’s start date using the date picker. Up until know we weren’t able to reproduce this effect on our macs, and sampling Merlin’s processes at that moment would not show anything abnormal. After comparing the support profiles of those Merlin users we are now finally able to point out the reason; Time Tracking with Time Track Pro. It somehow manages to freeze Merlin. We have googled a bit for similar symptoms and found some issues with Photoshop CS5. We have reported this effect with Merlin to Bloop and hopefully there will be a fix provided in a future update. Current Solution: In the meanwhile, should you choose to keep on using Time Track Pro (or Pro light) on your Mac,

• please quit Merlin first
• call Time Track Pro > Preferences…> App List
• disable tracking for Merlin
• Now you can use Merlin and it will work well, as usual.

This was common in other time tracking apps, but seams to be solved in current updates of those apps. If you do experience this or another issue when using Merlin in combination with a time tracking app, please leave a comment and name the app and its version. Thanks
