Merlin 2.7.2 (free of charge update!)

We are pleased to announce the release of Merlin 2.7.2 and Merlin Server 2.7.2 for MacOS X Snow Leopard. Both updates are available as a free download to license holders of Merlin 2 and Merlin Server,
or via the Merlin > Check for Updates… menu item.

What’s new in Merlin 2.7.2 (free of charge update!)

New Features

  • This version is now supporting Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard”.
  • Merlin Web: If a text column contains URLs, these URLs are now rendered as links. By clicking on them a new window/tab is opened and the corresponding content is shown.

Resolved Issues

  • Deleting a value from value lists did block Merlin.
  • The import of MS Project XML files generated by Concept Draw was not possible.
  • User-defined fields of sub-projects were not available as columns in the outline.
  • When the activities are filtered after clicking any item, collapsed groups did expand.
  • Conflicts of sub-projects were not shown in combined projects.
  • When a calendar intersection created an empty calendar, a default calendar was wrongly used.
  • Autosave could bring document windows to front.
  • Reports did not work in projects without names.
  • Under some circumstances changes in the master project did not apply to the single files in combined projects.
  • The sort order in Merlin Web was not the same as in Merlin.
  • Merlin Web did not properly display the contents of the project column in the Utilization View.
  • Drag&Drop of a mind map onto an existing project did not work.
  • Clicking into the outline header could sometimes lead to the creation of a new activity.
  • Under some circumstances the scheduling conflicts were not displayed.
  • The surname was not visible after getting a contact from some LDAP servers.
  • A few translation issues are fixed.
  • The German and English help files are updated.
