Merlin is intuitive, easy to use and offers a variety of options to help you plan, take control, collaborate and complete your project successfully.
Merlin is network aware. It’s easy to make Merlin projects available for group collaboration across a LAN environment or Intranet.
Extend collaboration and share projects with customers or colleagues who are not using a Mac (i.e. a PC, Linux client, Android Tablet). Use the integrated web service to publish Merlin projects for online web access or simply exporting PDFs or static HTML for offline viewing.
The Web Browser Module ensures that Merlin projects are always up-to-date and synchronized with each other. In fact, the Merlin project displayed in the browser automatically updates whenever changes are made without having to manually reload the page!
Is there a way to have a URL that takes you directly to a project shared by Merlin Server?
Just select the project in Merlin Server‘s ‘Projects’ view
click onto the ‘Link’ button to get its direct URL.
Select the URL as shown on the dialogue
If you now enter this direct URL in a web browser, you will access the project without viewing first the start page listing other projects.
Today we’ve released a new free update. The 2.8.4 update brings various improvements and more stability. It is recommended for all Merlin and Merlin Server users.
Resolved Issues in Merlin
- Values for the field “default utilization” were not accepted under Mac OS X 10.7.
- Logging into a project failed if the password was an email address.
ProjectWizards participated last week in the exhibition CeBit 2012 in Hannover (Germany). Just like last years our exhibition stand was embedded in the OS X Business Park. We held numerous meetings and did business networking with well known OS X software vendors. We generated lots of promising contacts with potential partners in the B2B sector.
The large demand from representatives of the Chamber of Commerce (IHK) was unexpected but pleasing. Chamber of Commerce was interested in various applications of Merlin for their members. We were very pleased to discuss OS X and iOS based examples with them.
We offered staged software presentations for Merlin 2. They were well attended and we received much praise from existing Merlin users.
Well over one hundred trade visitors appreciated the opportunity to come to our stand and posed detailed questions concerning Merlin’s usage.
Web sharing module and the possibility of always having your „projects at your fingertips“ (iPhone & iPad) did appear as a particular interest for many customers.
Last but not least, we would like to thank the organizers and the invisible helpers for this successful exhibition.
Today we published another maintenance update for Merlin and Merlin Server. Here are the changes.
