When asking your emails over the web browser (so you are not using a mail app client on your Mac like Mail.app for example) you need to first save your Merlin licence file on your Mac to be able to use it in a second step to license your Merlin application.

Merlin – License it by drag & drop
To license your installed Merlin for Mac OS X application is easy. Just drag the license files you’ve purchased onto Merlin’s application icon on the Finder.
Should you have additional licenses for Web or iPhone sharing, you can install them exactly in the same way.
Merlin – I have lost my license, where can I find it?
From time to time, we get in support requests like the following:
My mac is broken/stolen, I have lost my Merlin license, how can I get a new copy?
To request a new copy of your license key(s), please start Merlin and select Help > Lost License or use a web form we’ve specially created for this purpose.

File paths on your Mac:
Installed license keys for Merlin are located in the ‘Application Support’ directory of your home folder (~/Library/Application Support/Merlin/Licenses/).
Installed Merlin Server licenses are usually in /Library/Application Support/Merlin Server/Licenses.
Free application downloads:
Should you require a new installation of Merlin or Merlin Server, just download a new copy for free as found in the downloads area.
Merlin – Retrieve lost license(s)
One of the new features of the latest Merlin release (version 2.8.1) is the possibility to request a copy of your Merlin license(s) over the application.
You may call the ‘Lost License…’ menu item as listed under the ‘Help’ menu. Or call Merlin > Preferences…> Licenses and use the according button there.
